DJI Matrice 210 D-RTK V1 & V2

These are very versatile machines. We use them for inspections, for interventions with IZS (Integrated Rescue System) units but also for shooting cinematographic pieces.

Carried equipment

DJI Zenmuse X7

A camera for filmmaking on the DJI Inspire 2 UAV. It features a Super 35 sensor with 24 MP CMOS capabilities that allows you to record up to 6K/30 fps RAW images simultaneously with a dynamic range of 14 aperture numbers. We use this camera specifically for filmmaking or to scan objects in detail and then convert them into a 3D model.

Elistair LIGH-T 4

Each UAV has a flight time limit. For some machines it is up to 20 minutes, for others it can fly for almost an hour. However, in the case of monitoring a fire and its spread, it is important to have an overview of the whole situation at all times. For this reason, we have purchased the Elistair LIGH-T 4 for the needs of the IZS (Integrated Rescue System). This is a docking station for the UAV, to which the entire station is connected by cable. The maximum length of the cable(weight 10.5 g/m) and also the maximum flight height is 70m. The power supply then runs from the power supply, via Elistair over the cable to the battery module in the UAV.

GL60 Spotlight

LED spotlight to assist the IZS (Integrated Rescue System). This is the most commonly used payload at events in the dark. It was created as a replacement for the DJI Z15 Spotlight we have used so far. It now has the ability to adjust its focal length during flight. This allows us to direct the intensity of the light much more precisely on the object of interest. It is fully compatible with the DJI Matrice 210 and DJI Matrice 300.

DJI Zenmuse XT2

A total of 2 different sensors on one carrier. This is the DJI Zenmuse XT2 camera. It can see in both the RGB spectrum and the IR spectrum. The stability of these two cameras is then provided by a 3-axis gimball. Previously it was necessary to use 2 different cameras to fully equip the DJI Matrice 210, now we can use any one more camera to this camera.

DJI Zenmuse Z30

The first DJI camera with optical ZOOM. An indispensable tool for inspection photography. If we can't get right up close to the inspection object, we can at least zoom in to see the detail in high resolution.

Inspection with DJI Matrice 210 D-RTK V1

It is the most commonly used machine for inspecting bridge structures. We have the possibility to mount the camera on the top of the UAV and thanks to that we can see perpendicularly under the bridge. With the DJI Z30 camera, we can then simply zoom in on the point of interest from a long distance, so we don’t have to fly all the way to the point of interest. With these capabilities and equipment, we then have GPS photos at all times. In most cases we cannot find GPS satellites under the bridge because of the steel and concrete structures. Using the Inspector app, we can then see the photos taken directly on the 3D model of the bridge, which is also determined by GPS coordinates.

Elistair - DJI Matrice 210 D-RTK V2

The most common task for the DJI Matrice 210 V2 is monitoring cultural events and other activities where constant aerial surveillance is required. The Elistair Light-T V4 allows us to do just that. More details about this device can be found directly in the kit.

Differences between V1 & V2

The most important difference is the image transmission technology. In version 1, data is transmitted using Lightbridge 2.0, which has a range of up to 3.5 km in line-of-sight between the pilot and the UAV. For the more modern version 2, DJI has come up with a new technology called OcuSync 2.0, which has a range of up to 5 km in line-of-sight. Not only is the range increased with this innovation, but the data transmission power itself is stronger. As a result, image dropouts in trouble spots are much less frequent.

Another difference is the addition of LED lights on the top and bottom of the UAV, right next to the impact sensors. Last but not least is the stereoscopic light for easier orientation in flight traffic for surrounding pilots.
